Seven years ago the Jewel Box Theatre was a dream. Today it is a reality. On faith we secured a construction loan for $365,000. On February 16, 2001 we opened our first play in our beautiful new theatre with "Wrong Turn at Lungfish." Looking back at our first year in the Jewel Box, we mounted four plays, our first Jewel Box Christmas special, raised $5800.00 for Red Cross, piles of food for Fishline, had a children's workshop and hosted our first three plays for children. We have worked with a lot of folks, made a lot of friends, and have carved an important niche in the community. We now have 2800 on our mailing list and our e-mail list exceeds 500.

We are asking members of the community to buy a “brick for $500.00 and help us raise $288,000.00. This will enable us to completely pay off our construction loan. To reach this goal we must sell 600 additional bricks.

Your donation of one $500.00 "brick" or any "block of bricks" will secure for you a permanent place of honor on our Gratitude Wall in the foyer of the Jewel Box. As we are a not-for-profit organization, your donation is tax deductible. Kingston Tax Service purchased the first brick and that famous writer of miscellaneous verse, Anonymous, paid for the next two.

Please, write out a check today and mail to Jewel Box Theatre us at P.O. Box 2510, Poulsbo, WA 98370. If you would like a “presentation photo” just let us know by calling 360 779-9688 and we will make the arrangements.
