As a fundraiser, a Jewel Box theatre party is an exciting and easily accomplished way to raise money – much easier and more profitable than such standard money raisers as a car wash, bake sale or garage sale.

Here’s how a fundraising theatre party works. Your organization buys a block of tickets for the show of your choice at our group rate and then resells the tickets at a premium – priced for the amount of money you want to raise. Your members divide up the tickets amongst themselves and sell them – the money goes to support a good cause and people are eager to help. And because they have made a donation they receive the return gift of an exciting evening at the theatre! Furthermore, they can deduct the amount they paid over the group rate price as a charitable contribution. Your organization decides how many tickets it wants to resell and at what price. If you wish you can buy out an entire performance, all 99 seats (in theatre terms it’s called “buying the house”) and, if you so choose, you can even hold a catered pre-show reception in our lobby.

The unexpected surprise of a gift of theatre tickets is a spectacular way for business or professional people to reward favorite customers or clients for their loyalty. To qualify for our group rate all you need is a minimum of 20 persons. And as above, if you “buy the house” you can also hold a reception for them.

A Jewel Box theatre party works the same way for a party of friends or family. Although your group can be of any size, it should number a minimum of 20 to qualify for our group rate discount. (If you really want to have an extra-special celebration, make it a private party by “buying the house!”)
