Ali Marcus
Friday, May 7th, 2010 – 8:00 p.m.
Peter's next guest will be Ali Marcus. Ali is a Seattle-based songwriter who tours the country singing songs for people. She has shared the stage with Tom Paxton, Dar Williams, and many other incredible folky musicians around America. She has sung in lots of awesome joints, like the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the Hotel Cafe in LA, the Living Room in NYC, the Tractor Tavern and the Experience Music Project in Seattle. She runs her own label and produces her own music and books her own tours. She also writes her own biographies and talks about herself in the third person.
Peter's album releases include New Hope and Wise Virgins (2000); Nobody's Daddy (2004); Handsignal (2005); Gathering Light: Christmas Music for Solo Guitar (2006); The Blues Concert (2007); and From the Island (2009). He has been called a "guitar wizard" by Seattle's Victory Music News and "a gifted lyricist with a sharp eye" by the New Jersey Star-Ledger. He tours regularly in the Northeast and throughout the Pacific Northwest.
