Good
Written by C. P. Taylor
Directed by Michelle Peterson
Set in pre-war Germany, a liberal-minded professor, a good man, through small decisions and rationalizations is seduced into extreme views and actions. The play invites us to question just what a "good" man is and does and where the bounds of responsibility lie.
Notes from the director, Michelle Peterson
I saw a production of “Good” in 2023. I knew nothing of the play, I just went to see the star, David Tennent. I was so taken with the writing; I bought the script in the lobby during intermission. I thought it would be a great show for the intimate JBT stage. It tells the tale of one good man, making decisions that lead to more choices and eventually to a conclusion no one could have foreseen. It is a very timely story, well written with meaty acting roles. I am honored to help bring “Good” to the JBT.
